Edging to Control Premature Ejaculation
Just like an athlete controls their strength and power, with the right training, you have the power to master your performance, using pacing and pausing in gameplay to win the match. The Squeeze Technique  was developed by sexologists Masters and Johnson, as a simple, hands-on method that allows men to control their ejaculation with precision. In the Solo Edging exercise below you'll learn to measure and manage your arousal response. After a few reps you'll feel more focused, intentional and empowered.
What is Premature Ejaculation (PE)?
PE happens when ejaculation occurs sooner than desired, often within a minute or two of sexual activity. This can leave both partners unsatisfied and can cause stress or embarrassment. But just like training in sports, PE can be managed with tools like mindfulness and with practice and discipline. The Solo Edging  technique is an effective way to train your body to last longer and gain control.
How Ejaculation Works
Ejaculation is a two-part process involving emission and expulsion.
1. Emission: Semen collects in the urethral bulb.
2. Expulsion: Muscular contractions release the semen.
Your nervous system controls this process, and by recognizing the sensations leading up to it, you can take action before you hit the "point of no return." The Solo Edging techinuqe interrupts this reflex, giving you more control over when and how you finish.
Mastering Solo Edging
Solo Edging is a performance tool—consider it your drill for enhancing sexual stamina. Just like working on your cardio or core strength, practicing this technique will help you go the distance.
 Your Training Ground
WARM-UP
Find a quiet, private space to focus.
AROUSAL
Begin self-stimulation until you reach full arousal.
FIND YOUR EDGE
As you approach the moment of climax (your "point of no return"), stop.
APPLY THE SQUEEZE
Using your thumb and forefinger, apply firm but not painful pressure to the base or the head of the penis (just under the glans). Hold for 10–20 seconds until the sensation of ejaculation subsides.
RELEASE & RECOVER
Wait 30 seconds before resuming stimulation. Repeat this process 2–3 times before allowing ejaculation.
This process is all about learning your body’s cues and managing them like an athlete paces a race.
THE PARTNERED SQUEEZEÂ Teamwork makes the dream work!
Once you've built confidence solo, bring in your partner:
COMMUNICATE
Let your partner know what you’re doing and how they can help.
ENGAGE & PAUSE
During sex, when you sense ejaculation is near, signal your partner to stop.
APPLY THE SQUEEZE
Your partner can apply the squeeze, or you can take the lead using the same method as the solo practice.
RESET
After the squeeze, allow a few seconds for the sensation to fade, then resume. This creates a mutual rhythm, increasing pleasure for both.
Breathing and Visualization: Mindset Meets Technique
Like any sport, your mindset is key. Pairing the Squeeze Technique with breathing and visualization can enhance your control.
BREATHING
Practice deep, slow breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth. This helps calm your nervous system and keep you in the moment, like pacing your breath during a long run.
VISUALIZATION
Picture your arousal like a wave that you ride with control, slowing it down as it crests. Visualize yourself maintaining this balance, staying in control of your performance.
